Residence Chambers and Stack |
The GCD Thermal Oxidisers destroy VOC vapour emissions from; diurnal tank breathing, displacement during shipping unloading operations, road tanker loading and transfer operations.
Of special significance is the ability to treat streams with widely varying VOC content in both air and inert gas streams. This challenging assignment has been achieved with the ability to automatically switch from one Thermal Oxidiser in operation to both units operating according to plant loading.
The Thermal Oxidisers are designed to oxidise nitrogen inerted VOC (Stream 1) and air diluted VOC (Stream 2) at 825 m3/h and 4,000m3/h respectively.
Each thermal oxidiser system is complete with residence chamber, 25m exhaust stack, burner and natural gas valve train, access platforms, flow control skids and control panels.
The vertically aligned residence chamber is steel and internally lined with ceramic fibre refractory insulation for fast response time.
The Thermal Oxidisers are guaranteed to achieve a destruction efficiency of 99.6% of all VOC’s and 99.9% of Ethyl Acrylate.
