20 years experience
GCD International, one of the Sterling Industries Plc companies is renowned
worldwide for it's high quality fibreglass and stone
wool curing ovens, after 20
years design and manufacture.
Supplied to many major insulation manufacturers, GCD International ovens
operate in diverse locations from Belgium to Taiwan.
GCD International International multi-density ovens are manufactured on a modular basis,
skid-mounted, fully tested, expandable and pre-commissioned prior to dispatch to
site throughout the world.
GCD International curing ovens are designed for product densities from 5 to
250 kgs/m3, and line speeds up to 85 m/min which requires great structural
integrity.

Suitable for placement directly onto the foundations, the GCD International
oven can be installed within 5 working days (refer figure above). By specifying
a GCD International curing oven, our customers are able to reduce the critical path on
greenfields plant development by up to six months compared with on-site
construction. GCD International ovens can be installed in existing manufacturing lines with
minimum disruption since they require minimal site works prior to
installation.
For connection to the oven, a separate heating and variable air
circulation system is also provided mounted on a skid suitable for speedy
on-site installation. These systems are supplied fully wired with GCD
International PLC
systems for integration into our customers' PLCs, if required.

Built to last!
GCD International ovens have heavy-duty flights and heavy-duty roller chain
with pneumatic chain take-up and alarm system. Flights are supplied machined and
stress-relieved and are fitted to chain in GCD International factory to achieve superior
product flatness.
GCD International ovens are supplied with between 2 and 6 curing zones,
depending on product output required. Oven drives and air flows are generally
controlled with variable speed drives for fine tuning of the curing process and
control of product temperature profile.
A free-standing combustion control cabinet with a full burner
management system is fitted to the skid mounted circulating air heating
systems.
